Yo, I completely agree with you. Listening to him on the radio, buying his songs, watching his music videos on youtube, they all contribute to his popularity. And the more we support artists like Chris Brown, the more men will think that it's OK to beat a woman with his fists- or even worse, the more women will think its OK for a man to beat her with his fists. It bothers me when I hear his music because its the voice of a man who beat up a woman when there's plenty of great artists who havent.

What sports do/did you play?

My college PE was Scrabble (I’m not kidding!), so it’s Scrabble. If you mean actual sports, though, the answer is none. I’ve always been too uncoordinated for any sports, and being very overweight didn’t improve things either. Don’t be fooled by the athlete in my URL, I was just trying to pattern my URL with my art blog URL (kim+impertinence=kimpertinence) and it just so happened that art fit with athlete. :)

On what you said about Chris brown. I don't get what him being in your opinion 'an abusive little shit' has got to do with his music. If he has a song you like, you like it, no?? A lot of people love The Beatles music and they are revered as one of the best musical acts of all time...... yet John Lennon was a self confessed abuser of women. But that doesn't nullify the legacy as greatness of his work. If you like a song, you like a song.

Not in my book, sorry. Aside from talent, I look for basic human decency in the people I’ll admire. Repeatedly punching your girlfriend in the face, smashing her head against your car window, and threatening to end her life is nowhere near decent. Now I know we all deserve second chances, but not when you act like you’re entitled to it and then get mad when people don’t give it to you five seconds after you asked for it. Maybe John Lennon was abusive, but did he throw a chair out of a window when he was asked about his behaviour? I honestly think that Chris Brown is sorry for what he did only because it put him in such a bad light and affected his career. If the incident stayed between him and Rihanna I’m fairly positive he’d still be doing it. There are so many talented artists out there, I’m sure I won’t have trouble finding one who doesn’t like beating women with his fists. And really, don’t you think the world would be such a horrible place if we all valued talent (or beauty!) more than character?

I’ll let my man Joe Dempsie conclude this reply for me:

Sometimes I get really ashamed by the mean thoughts that pop up in my head but immediately afterwards I feel proud for keeping them to myself and not deliberately hurting anybody.

I WANT TO THROW A VERY VIOLENT TANTRUM.
In the aftermath of this travesty I think it’s safe to conclude that the majority of voters in my country are idiots.
